BA(Psych) PGDip(Psych) MPsych(Clin) MAPS
Veronica is a Clinical psychologist registered under the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Veronica has a Bachelor of Psychology from the University of New England, a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychology from Murdoch University and a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology from Bond University. She is a full member of the Australian Psychological Society and the APS College of Clinical Psychologists.
Veronica has worked in both private and public sectors, including the Department of Human Services and the Gold Coast Hospital pain clinic. She has solid training and experience in Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy as applied to the treatment of generalised anxiety disorder, mood disorders, chronic pain management and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in adults. Veronica has trained in Mindfulness based interventions, Motivational Interviewing and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT). Veronica has completed additional training in trauma-focused cognitive-behavioural therapy for PTSD in adults and is an accredited provider of the Triple P parenting program.
In her practice, Veronica utilises a biopsychosocial approach, taking into consideration individual biological, psychological and social factors when performing assessment and planning intervention. Veronica combines her training expertise with her sense of humour and warmth to work with people to affect change and improve their well-being.
