Tracy did her undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Applied Psychology in Northern Ireland and completed a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology in London. She has 15 years post qualified experience and was Clinical Lead of a Psychology service in Belfast before immigrating to Australia. She is currently undertaking a transitional program with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.

Tracy has a particular interest in working with adults whom have struggled with severe and long-standing mental health difficulties. Tracy has worked extensively with people diagnosed with Schizophrenia and Borderline Personality Disorder, in government, private and voluntary positions. As a result Tracy has a deep understanding of the psychological, emotional and social difficulties faced by survivors of complex trauma. In addition, she has extensive experience working with anxiety, depression, eating disorders, OCD, PTSD and panic attacks.

Tracy’s style is collaborative and heavily influenced by recovery and client centered goals, evidence-based practice and compassion-focused therapies. She is a qualified Dialectical Behaviour therapist (DBT) and has undertaken and published research in the clinical effectiveness of DBT. Tracy was a guest lecturer at Queens University, Belfast and the University of East London. She has trained extensively in working with trauma, including EMDR. Additionally, she has trained in Narrative Therapy, CBT and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.

Tracy is committed to Mindful living and meditation in her own life and has trained widely in a Mindfulness approach to healing mental distress.
